The Walled Garden by Michele Lang
"One who realized that words are jewels, that if you can work magic, there's no need to brag about it."
This is a sweet, gritty fairy tale. Mireya, our main character was attacked some fateful day in New York City. She survived for two years, not really speaking to anyone, going out, she only studied. Then she meets Jonathan Mellon of the Pennsylvania Mellons.
I can't say her whole world changed when she met Jonathan, because it didn't. He helped her, she helped him. Slowly, but surely.
This is no ordinary fairy tale, this tale does not guarantee a happy ending, nor a tragic ending. You will have to read to see.
The Walled Garden, has a quiet rhythm, a soft cadence in the words. I only wish this was not a short story. I would love to have read more.
Very Enjoyable.
